Itinerary:

Your 10 days tour from Tangier will begin by picking you up from the accommodation where you’re staying, or from the airport or seaport if you’re just arriving in Morocco. We will start by visiting the beautiful town of Chaouen, which we will reach by driving through the breathtaking Rif Mountains. The Rif Mountains are inhabited completely by indigenous Berbers, and they’re also special for their convenient weather and rich and diverse greenery. Through our travel here, you will get to see the lifestyle of people in the area, who are living mostly in the mountains.

Then we will finally arrive at Chaouen, which is a small town situated at the foothill of two mountains, in the middle of the agricultural fields. This town is unique for the bright blue color that paints all of its houses and buildings, which creates an aesthetically pleasing contrast against white painted walls. We will have dinner and spend the night at a traditional Riad in Chefchaouen.

After having breakfast, we will drive to the imperial city of Fez, which is one of the most important destinations in Morocco. Being a religious and spiritual city, it is considered the cultural capital of the country. We will reach Fez in the early evening, which would allow you to catch a glimpse of this magnificent city, from the top of the hill.

This day will start after your local guide comes to pick you up from your accommodation. Fez is a beautiful city that doesn´t fall short on the amazing things it has to offer: from artisanal crafts to traditional food, passing by souk markets… etc. You will get to experience a whole new world as you´ve never seen before.

Fez is also home to the oldest university in the world, the Karaouine University, which you will visit alongside the rest of the old Medina, a recognized UNESCO world heritage. We will walk around the narrow streets and alleyways of the old medina, as well as visit the Royal palace and the city´s Jewish district, the Mellah.

We will start our Tangier desert tour towards the desert by driving past the beautiful town of Ifrane, also called the Switzerland of Morocco for its unique weather and architecture. Ifrane was once home to the native Atlas Mountain lions, which is why the animal has a representative statue in the heart of the town.

Our first stop along the way will be to observe wild macaque monkeys in their natural habitat, at the cedar forest in Azrou. These monkeys are used to interactions with visitors so they’re very friendly, they might even pose for a picture. After that, we will stop to get lunch at either the neighboring town of Midelt or Rich. We will then resume our trip to Merzouga, passing through the valley of Ziz and its impressive palm groves that spread out to more than 20 kilometers of just palm trees.

This makes this location one of the biggest palm groves in the world, containing up to 10 thousand palm trees. After finally arriving at Merzouga, we will embark on our camel-trekking experience, in which you will get to ride the back of camels that will take you to the desert camp where we will spend the night. You will sleep in a traditional nomad-style tent, as you will get to gaze at the starry desert night sky.

If you are lucky enough to wake up before sunrise, you will be able to catch a breathtaking sunrise over the desert dunes. We will then return to the 4×4 Riad to have breakfast, ride on the back of camels again, to continue traveling to our next destination. We will drive by the city of Rissani, where we will make a stop at the largest traditional souk market in the area. This is the market where thousands of people from all around the south come to shop for their weekly provisions. We will then drive to our next location: the city of Ouarzazate.

Along the way, we will drive by the beautiful Todra gorges, the Dades valley, the Roses valley, and the palm groves of the Skoura oasis. Once we arrive at Ouarzazate, we will have dinner and spend the night there.

Our first activity of the day, after breakfast, of course, will be to explore the Kasbah of Taourirt, which looks like it was taken straight out of a fairytale. We will then drive to the star of the desert: The Kasbah of Ait Ben Heddou. This marvelous Kasbah was the filming location for many huge international movies, such as Gladiator, the Mummy, Cleopatra, and Game of thrones…

You will get to freely wander around the streets of the Kasbah. Next, we will start driving towards the city of Marrakech through the unique driveways of the High Atlas Mountains, most notably the pass of Tizi N Ntichka. We will also meet many small Berber villages along the way. Finally, we will arrive at Marrakech in the evening. This is where you will have dinner and spend the night.

After breakfast at your accommodation, your local tour guide will come to pick you up in order to begin your exploration of the red city, Marrakech. This city is home to Jamaa´ El Fna, the busiest and biggest square in North Africa that holds many traditional artisanal sellers and merchants.

Marrakech has many other jewels to offer, that you will, of course, get to visit, such as the Majorelle and the Menara gardens, the Saadies tombs, the Bahia Palace, the Koutoubia Minaret, and many more. Finally, you will have dinner and spend the night in Marrakech.

The next day we will leave for the city of Rabat for our Marrakech to Tangier tour, but before we get there, we will stop first at Casablanca. Casablanca is the economic capital of Morocco and home to the country’s largest port.

It also contains many important must-see monuments that we will visit, including The Hassan II Mosque, the Arab League Park, the church of the Sacred Heart, the Villa Des Arts museum, the Mohammed V square, and many more. However, the real beating heart of Casablanca is the Old Medina, which you will get to explore today.

Its narrow streets and alleyways make it only accessible by foot, which is okay because that will allow you to discover the historical walls surrounding the Medina, as well as all of its details full of life. At the end of the day, we will arrive at Rabat. We will go to our accommodation where you will have dinner and spend the night.

The first part of this day will be entirely dedicated to the exploration of Rabat, the city of Gardens. Being the capital of the kingdom, Rabat captures the perfect balance between traditional and modern which is present to some extent in all Moroccan cities. You will visit the city’s most important monument: “The Hassan Tower”, after which you will be free to walk around and discover the city for yourself.

After lunch, we will head to the coastal city of Assilah, where you will have the chance to visit the cave of Hercules, driving through the Cabo Espartel. As for the city of Assilah itself, it has amazing views and landscapes to offer, because of the way it is surrounded by a protective rampart and of the way its Old Medina is built. Tourists from all over the world come to witness the beauty of this artistic city, with its white and blue painted walls.

You will get to try some of the mouth-watering local cuisines, more specifically the fresh and fine fried fish, straight out of the sea. You will spend the rest of the day walking around the narrow, peaceful, and quiet streets of the Old Medina. Finally, we will spend the night at a local hotel.

Our 10 days tour from Tangier  will end here, as we will drop you off at the port or airport according to your preference.
