  • Day 1: Fes

Welcome to our exciting 7-Day Journey from Fes!

Upon arrival, we’ll begin by exploring the heart of Morocco’s spiritual legacy, Fes. Known for having one of the most well-preserved medieval cities in the world, Fes is proudly recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. We’ll wander through the charming, narrow alleys of the Medina and discover remarkable historical treasures like Al Karaouine University, the world’s oldest university, the vibrant leather tanneries, and the beautifully designed Nejjarine Fountain.

After immersing ourselves in the rich history of the city, we’ll head to a high vantage point for a stunning panoramic view of Fes, before retreating back to our comfortable Riad for a peaceful night.

  • Day 2: Fes – Merzouga

After breakfast, we’ll embark on our exciting Fes to Marrakech journey, traveling through the southeastern parts of Morocco.

Our adventure begins with a visit to the Switzerland of Morocco, the charming town of Ifrane. We’ll continue on to Azrou, where we’ll explore the famous cedar forest and meet the playful monkeys that call it home. From there, we’ll make our way to Midelt.

Next, we’ll travel through the stunning Ziz Valley, passing by the vast oases of Tafilalt. After visiting fascinating towns such as Erfoud and Rissani, we’ll finally arrive at the mesmerizing Merzouga and check into a comfortable Riad or hotel.

  • Day 3: Merzouga Sightseeing

After breakfast, we’ll begin exploring the stunning Merzouga region. Our first stop will be to meet the Gnawa musicians, descendants of slaves from Sudan, who will share their traditional music and culture with us.

Next, we’ll visit a tranquil lake where flocks of birds gather, creating a beautiful natural scene. Afterward, we’ll stop by a nomadic family with a shop to learn about their way of life and browse their handmade goods.

As the day winds down, we’ll mount our camels and head towards the towering Erg Chebbi dunes, where a cozy camp awaits us. We’ll spend the night under the vast desert sky, enjoying the peaceful sounds of a nomadic band playing in the background.

  • Day 4: Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley – Ouarzazate

We’ll start the day early to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the desert. Afterward, we’ll mount our camels and return to the town of Merzouga. Once we’ve had a hearty breakfast and a refreshing shower, we’ll set off on our journey to Rissani, a town famous for its ancient market and its association with fossils. From there, we’ll continue to Erfoud before heading to Tinghir and the remarkable Todra Gorges, known for being the highest and narrowest valley in Morocco.

Next, we’ll drive to Dades Valley and explore the unique "monkey toes" rock formations along the way. Afterward, we’ll continue our journey towards Kalaat M’Gouna and Ouarzazate, passing along the famous "Thousand Kasbahs Road."

We’ll make a brief stop in the charming town of roses, Kalaat M’Gouna, before visiting the tranquil Skoura Oasis and the historic Kasbah of Ameridil. Finally, we’ll arrive in Ouarzazate, also known as the “Hollywood of Morocco,” where iconic films like The Mummy, Gladiator, and The Last Temptation of Christ were filmed. After a day of exploration, we’ll rest for the night in a comfortable hotel.

  • Day 5: Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – Marrakech

After enjoying a delicious breakfast, we’ll embark on an exploration of Ouarzazate and the magnificent Kasbah of Taourirt. From there, we’ll continue our journey to Ait Benhaddou, home to the largest kasbah in Morocco, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Next, we’ll drive through the High Atlas Mountains along the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Road, marveling at the stunning landscapes as we make our way to Marrakech. After a day of travel and exploration, we’ll check into a cozy Riad where we’ll rest for the night.
